GENERAL INFORMATION

So glad you’re visiting Cabinet of Dreams! I would appreciate very much if you read the following information before placing an order.

Cabinet of Dreams is the name of this website. I, Marie Fredriksson-Söderman, Sweden own the website, as well as all items, photos and everything else you see here. Cabinet of Dreams was formerly called MFK Collectibles, which was launched on the internet in 2010.

Please note that I do not buy any collectibles or other items, and I can not help you with any valuations!

You don’t have to create an account to order items from this website. All prices are in Euros (€ / EUR). I try to set the prices according to the current value I know of the particular item.

Most items on this website are available for immediate delivery otherwise they are clearly marked as on hold or sold. Occasionally I’m not able to mark items sold immediately and I hope this does not cause too much upset.

All items are sold on the secondary market, i.e. I’m not an official retailer of any of the brands available on the website. Most of the “collectibles” have never been displayed, but are part of my private collection. Second hand items and what I define as bric-a-brac have sometimes been used, but not always. I will always try to describe all items as accurate as possible and any damage visible to my eyes will be clearly stated. Photos will be available of any damage that may occur. Regarding boxes, certificates, etcetera: Included will always be what I got in the first place, and I will describe what I have and know of, but I cannot take responsibility for knowing any such items that I have never heard of or don’t know exist.

HOW TO ORDER AND PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS

In the checkout you can choose between three payment options: PayPal, Debit & Credit Cards (powered by PayPal), and Direct bank transfer to my bank account in Nordea Bank, Sweden. The e-mail address that will appear in the PayPal payment is order (at) marieapril3.com, and the invoice prefix “COD-“.

Note that there are currently two different PayPal options in the checkout, one “PayPal” (first option) and one “PayPal Standard” (further below in the checkout). I have included the older verion as customers have sometimes experienced problems with the new version when trying to proceed with the payment process.

(Swedish customers are also able to use Swish. Please contact me in order to use that payment option.)

SHIPPING/HANDLING INFORMATION

Shipping restrictions. Due to the war in Ukraine shipping is currently not available to Russia and Belarus. Delivery restrictions also currently apply to the following countries: Afghanistan, Bolivia, Haiti, Honduras, Laos, Liberia, Libya, Mauretania, Mayotte, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Martin (French region), Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Somalia, Sudan, Venezuela, Wallis and Futuna. 

Shipping services, tracking, insurance, and dispatch details: All items are sent by PostNord, Sweden using the methods PostNord Standard or Registered (air)mail services (Registered, Sweden only), and PostNord Domestic and International Parcel services. Postnord also offers an express service called EMS International Express for parcels weighing up to 20kgs. If you want to receive your item as soon as possible, that option could be of interest to you. If so, please contact me first, as the EMS isn’t available in the checkout. All packages are sent with trackable service (this applies also to the Standard (Air)mail services) and will receive an ID-number. There is no shipping insurance option available for items sold on the secondary market, but the package should be trackable through its ID-number. When a package leaves the Swedish borders it’s usually trackable via Parcel Force, and sometimes it will receive a new domestic ID-number when it arrives to the destination country. All orders and dispatch details will be confirmed by e-mail. I aim to dispatch your goods within 48–72 hours after receiving cleared payment.

Shipping zones, methods, and classes. All products are arranged in different classes according to weight and bulkiness. Shipping is arranged in three different zones: Sweden (Domestic), EU, and Outside EU. Shipping costs are then automatically quoted according to these classes and destination, and you will be offered the available shipping method(s) in the checkout after filling in your contact information. Please note that shipping is not included in the prices shown on each product page of the website. If you’re country is not listed among those with restrictions (see above), but still does not appear as an option in the checkout, please let me know and I will try to help out.

Shipping costs. The shipping prices I offer are lower than the actual costs, but I’m glad to cover the difference! 

ADDITIONAL COSTS

Any additional costs that could possibly be charged the buyer, as import fees, customs, local VAT, etcetera will be on behalf of the buyer. I will not be held responsible for that.

LAYAWAY SCHEME

I have a layaway scheme for purchases totalling over €200.00. Here is how it works:

You select an item (or items) that you wish to buy. Send me an order by filling the form under Contact and a deposit of 25% of the whole sum for the item excluding shipping costs (I will send you a PayPal Money Order regarding the deposit). You can then pay the balance over the following 3 months. I will ship your order when paid for in full including postage/shipping costs, which will be charged with the final installment.

Please note that this is a binding contract, and deposits are non-refundable when contracts are not completed as agreed.

To use my layaway service, please contact me first as described above, and I will discuss the details with you. It’s that easy!

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

The items on this website are part of my private collection and sold on the secondary market. I always try to explain as carefully as possible the condition of each item as well as any flaws or damages, both in description and photographs. I do not offer returns, but you are welcome to inquire further if there is anything you are wondering about before placing an order.

If you have paid for an item, but immediately change your mind and would like to cancel your purchase before I have shipped your item(s) (usually within 1-3 days after payment), please let me know as soon as possible. I will then make a full refund except for the PayPal fees that I have been charged (currently 4.99% of the total amount + SEK 4.09, which at present equals approximately € 0.4.)
