Vi gratulerar, i.e. We Congratulate, Year 1972, is the first annual plate in a Congratulations Series made by renown Swedish porcelain company Gustavsberg. Limited edition. Ø 21.5 cm / approx. 8.5 inches. Made of bone china. Decoration by artist Calle Blomqvist.

The plate depicts a moment of congratulation in a rather typically Swedish home interior scene from the early 1900s. The father, children and dog are about to congratulate the mother in the family. The decoration is made in brown on the white bone china.

The plate is in excellent condition and has never been displayed. The backside has some chip-like holes in the bone china glaze, due to the manufacturing process. (I notice this on all Gustavsberg’s plates.) It comes with original box and a suspension device is included in the box.
